Early sketch, to the Painting THUNDER BAY. A creation of a specific image or series of images, forming the whole or part of a composition intended to be completed by adding pigment color (paints, colored inks, etc).

This denotes a completed stand-alone autonomous work.

Inspiration Facto: More than one-third of the people shot to death by RCMP officers over a 10-year period were Indigenous, according to a document from the police force obtained by The Globe and Mail.

That percentage has alarmed First Nations leaders and is prompting calls for more data about police use of force in Canada. Thunder Bay’s high rate of homicides stayed steady in 2019, with seven reported for the year.

Propaganda painting focusing on the killings of First Nation Canadian Indians, referred to as the Thunder Bay Killings.
